Wireless Remote Control Cornhole Lights - Product Review

Remote Control Cornhole Lights

The remote control cornhole light set comes with lights, a remote, and a battery case. Of course, the lights on this one are pretty varied, so the battery needs to be a 9-volt, which might be a bit more expensive than average; but it’s balanced out by the battery case making installation slick and easy.

Positioning the light around the cornhole, though, is a bit less slick. The cord is quite long, so depending on the shape of your board, it might take you a little while to position the lights in such a way that the cord is not loose or in the way of the hole.

From there, though, installation is a breeze, and you can start getting a feel for remote-based cornhole lighting.

The batteries for the remote – CR 2032 coin batteries, specifically – are, unfortunately, also a bit pricier than the average battery. In other words, your battery budget is going to overall need to be a bit bigger if you opt for the remote control cornhole light. The remote itself, though, is pretty cool, allowing you to cycle between a wide variety of colours (all created by combining the light ring’s red, blue and green LEDs), as well as several flashing modes, all from as much as ten feet away. It’s quite an experience to be able to change the colour of the cornhole even as you line up to take your shot.

Unfortunately, the remote also brings up a major issue: there’s no way to change the lights except with the remote. The package does come with two remotes; but if you somehow lose both, you’ll basically be left with no option but to buy a whole new set.

The remote control cornhole light is a really nifty and cool set; but do be sure you’ve got extra money for batteries, and that you don’t have a tendency to lose the extra parts, before buying it.
